Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Tuition Torch (“the Service”) you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is, and isn’t

Tuition Torch is a software-based admissions strategy tool. Its outputs (readiness scores, recommendations, briefs) are AI-assisted analyses for your consideration. They are not guarantees of admission, scholarship awards, or any other outcome. Tuition Torch is not a licensed educational consultant, attorney, financial advisor, or therapist.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information. One account per person.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not abuse, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to break the Service.
  • Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains another person's sensitive data without their permission.
  • Do not attempt prompt-injection or jailbreaking; we filter and log such attempts.

5. Subscriptions and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed via Lemon Squeezy on the cadence you select (monthly or annual).
  • Paid plans include a 14-day full-refund guarantee from your first paid charge. Free plans cannot be refunded.
  • You may cancel renewal at any time from your account; the plan stays active through the paid period.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the content you provide. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process your content as needed to operate and improve the Service. The Service itself, including all software, design, and brand assets, remains our property.

7. AI limitations and disclaimers

AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. University admissions are competitive and discretionary; outcomes depend on factors outside our analysis. Always verify deadlines, requirements, and scholarship details directly with the universities and providers. You are responsible for final application decisions.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time. On termination, we will delete your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
